So far I feel as though I have achieved a surprising amount of the mission statement through A.P art. Almost all of the academic and social expectations have been met, especially the analysis part and working collaboratively and independently. I think that the arts offer so much diversity in a learning situation because diversity is one of the most inherent aspects of art. Art is applicable to almost any academic goal or learning potential. We have a mission statement in order to bring meaning to a public education; validation of what we spend almost every day of our lives doing. I believe that, while this mission statement seems simple and obvious in some regards, overall it will benefit me going into college. I think that for the most part these standards are upheld in out school, especially by the teachers. However some of the student are less than willing to participate, which honestly, brings down the whole system.
